Appearance:
Kenta is not one to worry about personal cosmetics or what he decides to wear. This nearly six foot tall young man has been known to choose his wardrobe out of necessity of the moment and never out of popularity. His main outfits usually include simple shirt sleeve and sleeveless shirts and comfortable dress pants like slacks or even business suit pants. Kenta can always be identified by his custom trench coat style coats because they are always black with a green cross on the right side, there is even a clover in the center.
Personality:
Kenta has always been one to show his opponents proper dignity in a match. To destroy a Gunpla completely would mean his opponents total defeat and possibly the impossible repair of their creations. He strongly believes that people should always respect another persons’ abilities and never underestimate a situation before it has yet to reach its high point. However, since his defeat by a very strong opponent during a junior tournament, Kenta has changed his views. Where mercy and dignity is concerned, Kenta has become more of a tyrannical player, offering none to those who fight with the intention of being disrespectful or just plain reckless. If there is a fighting style, he expects his opponent to use it but if you waste his time, your match will end in something being completely destroyed. Many of Kenta’s friends find his change of personality very regretful and they have tried many times to get him to change but if there is a way to quell this mans’ determination, it is not by normal means.
Background:
Kenta is a fighter who was introduced to the world of Gundam and Gunpla by his father who collected the merchandise and built his own Gunpla. As a child, he knew nothing of the name nor anything about it in general as Kenta was generally raised to focus on his studies and make sure he had the education to one day live on his own without the need of parental support. His mother was strict with academic’s, so the idea that Kenta would become Gunpla Fighter later in his life really went over her head. Entering Junior High School, Kenta would witness many Gunpla events as a viewer over the television; the battles began to be seen as quite magnificent and though he had studies, Kenta joined the schools Gunpla Builders Club. Secretly, he used the Club to get away from home and pursue a passion that Kenta’s Father wanted him to learn about. The idea that he could fight alongside or with his favorite fighters from the tournament broadcasts after a while was a very elevating feeling and he embraced it. For many years, Kenta used his allowance and later his saved up pay from part-time jobs to begin buying his own Gunpla, watching the shows to learn how things worked and even got a few cuts and scrapes in the process.
At the age of 17, Kenta entered his first official junior tournament with his first official Gunpla which was the Gundam Crossbone. Simple yet powerful, the Gundam was his signature choice and he defeated opponents with dignity and respect for everyone’s builds. However, this play style was ultimately defeated during his participation in the quarter finals; Defeated by sheer destruction of his Crossbone Gundam, Kenta became a serious person when it came to fights, never showing major kind of mercy towards any opponents for his ideals were shattered. He would move to New Battle City after it was completed in order to participate in the future Phantom Cup’s that would be held there, but how he approaches the tournament this time will depend on his determination.
